Terms of Service
Draft, under legal review · last updated 13 October 2026
What these terms cover
The Sports Finance Institute ("the Institute", "we") is operated by North Sea Ventures. These terms cover the public site, the free club scan and the club workspace. Paid advisory work is agreed separately in an engagement with the club.
The public site
The practices, research summaries and other content on the site are general information about how football clubs earn revenue off the pitch. You may read, link to and quote them with attribution; you may not reproduce them in bulk or resell them.
The free club scan
A scan reads the club's public pages and states what we could and could not see there. It is free and creates no obligation on either side. We may decline a request.
The workspace: accounts and access
The workspace is invite-only. Accounts are personal: club users sign in via email link, our own team via Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. We may suspend accounts that threaten the security or integrity of the workspace. Which parts of the workspace a club can use is set by its engagement.
Your data, our content
Data your club enters remains the club's: on request we provide a complete export and delete the environment. The methodology, the practices and their content and the designs are the Institute's and may not be reproduced or resold outside your engagement.
Acceptable use
No attempts to access other organizations' data, probe or overload the site or the workspace, or use either for unlawful purposes. Demo environments are illustrative and are not advice.
No professional-advice warranty
The site, the scan and the workspace support decisions; they do not guarantee revenue or regulatory compliance. Decisions taken on their basis remain the club's own.
Liability
We provide the site, the scan and the workspace with reasonable skill and care but without warranty of uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the fees paid by the club for the workspace in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law; disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country.
